BBC News reports that Anthony Horowitz, writer of the highly acclaimed World War II-era TV mystery series, Foyle’s War, “has been chosen by the Conan Doyle Estate to write a new full-length Sherlock Holmes novel…The title and content of the book, which will be published in September, have not been revealed.”

The BBC also revealed that this is “the first time the estate has given its seal of approval for a new Holmes work.”

I can’t wait!

That’s great to hear. I’m a big fan of Foyle’s War (currently making my way through the series on DVD here in the US) and the way Horowitz introduces lesser known topics of the period. Big fan of John Lawton that way too. In any case, great site here. I’m glad I found it.
