Awards, Awards, and more Awards!

At last weekend’s Boucheron Convention, the following awards were presented.  I’m not a huge fan of awards.  If anything, they’re a crapshoot.  For instance, there is no way in the world that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the best novel of the decade.  Mystic River, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Shadow of the Wind are all vastly superior novels.  The Anthony awards usually coincides with my taste in mysteries, but this year, I was appalled that they didn’t choose John Hart or Stuart Neville.

Even though I disagree with some of the winners, the nomination list alone is a great To Be Read list.  Just look how many times The Sweetness at the Bottom of  the Pie is mentioned.  It must be good!
